A Classic Mountain Wedding at a Private Residence in Golden, Colorado

Andi Casa (27 and a preschool teacher) and Ryan Holland (33 and an art director) met at an advertising agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ryan surprised Andi by showing up to spend a few days in her childhood home with her. While out exploring her hometown, Ryan sent her a drawing to guess on the Draw Something app, it was a ring with, “Will you marry me?” “I responded by sending Ryan a picture back that said, “Duh! Yes!” she says. The couple loved the stunning views at Ryan’s family’s home in Golden, Colorado, and decided to have their intimate wedding there. “We wanted a homemade wedding with all our friends and daily,” Andi says. “We wanted people to stay and enjoy themselves without feeling like they had to be out of the venue at a certain time. Having a wedding at home makes everyone loosen up and relax.” They turned their house into the party allowing guests to play billiards downstairs and turning the movie theater room into a dance party for the younger crowd. Everything — from the borrowed hay bales for ceremony seating to their DIY bouquets — had their simple, fun style all over it. “I wanted it to have that backyard wedding feel, not too put together,” Andi says.
