A Classic Mountain Wedding at a Private Residence in Crested Butte, Colorado

Mendy Griffin (38, Medical Sales Professional) met Matt Muhm (35, CEO of Morning Glory Mountain Supply) while on a weekend ski trip with her girlfriends. Mendy and her friends went to Morning Glory Mountain Supply, Matt’s ski shop, to rent equipment every morning. The two began dating shortly after, all thanks to Mindy’s first boot fitting with Matt. On January 14, 2014 Matt and Mendy went for a morning walk down Gothic Road in Crested Butte with their golden retriever, Bella. During the snowy morning stroll, Matt bent down with their pup at his side telling Mendy he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and Bella. Mendy responded she wanted to do the same, not realizing Matt was, in fact, holding a ring and proposing. After Matt asked a second time, Mendy responded with a ‘yes,’ and Matt slid a diamond stunner on her left hand.Over the course of their six-month long engagement, Mendy and Matt planned a summer wedding at a family friend’s private residence dubbed “Glacier Lily” in Crested Butte. On August 8, 2014 the couple said ‘I do’ while surrounded by 150 of their closest friends and family members. After the outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, seated dinner and a night full of dancing. Rachael Gardner of Crested Butte Events assisted the bride and groom during the planning process, while Danica Baker of Sweet Tea Studios snapped every major moment of their big day.
