A Classic Modern Wedding at The Elan in Lodi, New Jersey

Renee Russell (28 and an accountant) and Kyei Aboagye (36 and an accountant) planned a wedding that honored both of their heritages, Trinidadian and Ghanaian, highlighted by an ivory and burnt-orange palette.

Renee’s gown combined modern and contemporary design elements including an illusion neckline and trumpet skirt with elaborate lace detailing, while Kyei donned a navy blue tuxedo with a bright orange pocket square and socks. Later in the evening, the pair both changed into custom African attire and took their first spin on the dance floor to a classic Trinidadian song.
