A Classic, Modern Wedding at Braeside Chapel in Merrimac, Australia

Tazim Halteh (32 and a doctor) and Michael Furneaux (27 and a physiotherapist) planned a laid-back, modern affair for their late April wedding in Merrimac, Australia. To bring to life their vision for a colorful, fun and energetic event, the couple chose a vibrant color palette of red, purple and ivory hues and an intimate garden setting perfect for leisurely lawn games and socializing in the sun.

The day started with a traditional ceremony at Braeside Chapel, tucked away amid lush, landscaped gardens and majestic trees. Stately arrangements of cascading white blooms and quaint wooden hearts draped delicately along the pews lent the charming chapel a sophisticated-yet-sweet feel, while providing a blank canvas against which the siren red bridesmaid dresses and jewel-tone bouquets really popped.

After exchanging vows, Tazim and Michael invited guests to the Braeside Marquee, only a few steps away, for a lively evening of dinner and dancing. Panels of airy white fabric draped across the ceiling and a shimmering chandelier set an elegant tone for the decor, while crisp white linens and floating candles and florals displayed atop mirrors injected a note of contemporary flair and modern romance to the room.

After a traditional sit-down dinner, the couple kicked the party into full swing with a first dance that ended with everyone out on the dance floor.
