Hallie Jacobson (31, a dental hygienist) and Bill Jacobson (31, a sergeant in the U.S. Army) initially met in their early twenties, but lost touch when they went their separate ways. Years later, they ended up reconnecting through social media, and once Hallie and Bill saw each other again, they knew it was right. After less than a year of dating, Bill received word that the U.S. Army would be relocating him, and the couple wanted to make sure that they were married before the move. With one month to plan the wedding, Hallie and William immediately got started. They booked The Mooreland Mansion in Kirtland, Ohio for their wedding venue, with an elegant mansion on the grounds filled with beautiful antique pieces throughout the space. Hallie wanted to incorporate her grandma’s memory into the wedding, so she used her favorite color and flower of light pink and roses to decorate with. Even the bride’s own bouquet was had a single pink rose in an ivory mix, wrapped with a gold ribbon and accented with a vintage brooch made of blue stones. Elegant centerpieces of hurricane candles with a ring of ivy and surrounding votives were on reception dining tables in the beautiful mansion that needed minimal decor.

The bride wore a short ivory wedding dress accented with lace. “It was a cocktail dress, not your full length typical wedding gown, and it was beautiful,” says Hallie. “Incredibly classic and elegant. I keep using that word, but that's because that is my style and it was the overall theme.”

“I chose all off white roses for my flowers, and had one light pink rose included,” says Hallie. “My Grandma Eva passed away a few years ago, and she loved light pink and roses. It was my way to remember her on that special day.” The bouquet was tied with gold ribbon with a brooch pinned to it.
The groom wore his military uniform and hat as his wedding day attire.

“We both love to write and expression through writing, so the vows were really special,” says Hallie. “That was one of the best elements, hands down.”
Hallie and Bill performed a unity ceremony, each lighting the tall ivory candle with a long candle stick.

“We wrote a note in the front of that guestbook thanking them for all they mean to us, and asking them to leave us a special message to commemorate the occasion,” says Hallie.
“We had our wedding and reception at The Mooreland Mansion in Kirtland, Ohio,” says Hallie. “It was very elegant and cozy, and we had the run of the entire mansion for the afternoon and evening, and it just felt like home.

The wedding cake was three tiers tall and had a small bunch of ivory roses as the cake topper.
“We laughed a lot during our first dance, which was "The Nearness of You" by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald, and those are some of my favorite pictures,” says Hallie.
