A Classic Military Wedding at Cielo at Castle Pines in Castle Rock, Colorado
Angelia (Angie) Guerin (24 and a cosmetologist) and Joshua (Josh) Morrow (24 and in the United States Marine Corps) met in high school. Two and a half years later, Josh flew Angie to San Diego to spend a long weekend with him. “The night I got there he took me to La Jolla cliffs overlooking the ocean, and he made my dreams come true,” Angie says. “Of course I said, ‘Yes!’” However, a few days later, Josh was sent to Japan for two years. They saw each other twice due to all his deployments and training. Five years later, they finally tied the knot. “Through all the distance and time, I can now say I wouldn’t change it for anything,” she says. “It’s only in times like that when you can really learn appreciation for one another. Long engagements are wonderful. Just don’t plan the wedding the whole time. You’ll drive yourself crazy.”The couple chose all their details to match the elegance and formality of Josh’s military Dress Blues. Their main color was red, which was in everything from the bouquets to the bride’s shoes to the centerpieces to the decoration on the cake. They exchanged vows outside under a large gazebo before heading into their elegant ballroom reception. A friend of the couple performed during cocktail hour, and then they switch to a DJ, A Music Plus, for the reception. Angie and Josh picked their favorite songs to burn onto a CD for the favors.
