A Classic Love-Letter-Inspired Wedding at Marina Village in San Diego, California
Throughout their long distance relationship, Sara Farrington (20 and in accounting) and Austin Clark (20 and in the US Marine Corps) adopted an old-fashioned way of communicating by sending letters to each other, which inspired the classic and vintage style for their nuptials. The ceremony took place inside a former Navy chapel at Liberty Station in San Diego, California, with stained glass windows depicting sailors and other nautical designs that tied in with Austin enlisting in the Marine Corps. Sara wore a classic white wedding dress that fit the classic occasion, accented with floral designs at the top of the neckline and down the side that she was photographed in by Brit Jaye Photography. The wedding party embodied the navy blue and yellow palette—from the bridesmaids' floor-length navy dresses to the navy blue ties worn by the groomsmen, all with yellow flowers. We loved seeing the love letter inspiration that really came through during the reception at Marina Village in San Diego, California. Sara and Austin found a box of love letters that Sara's grandfather wrote to her grandmother while he served overseas, and she used them as decor for each table.
