A Classic Jewel-Toned Wedding at NEO on Locust in St. Louis, Missouri

Stephanie Green (27 and an occupational therapist at Missouri Baptist Medical Center) and Ryan “Bo” Bowman (27 and a client service manager for Moneta Group) didn’t want a traditional soft, winter wedding. Instead, they used a bold jewel-toned color palette with shades of purple, navy and gold to pop against the winter backdrop. They chose Stephanie’s alma mater’s church, Graham Chapel, at Washington University, for their traditional Catholic ceremony. They loved how ornate the building was with its high ceilings, silver organ and stained glass. Afterwards, they went to NEO on Locust for their reception. “We fell in love with the NEO immediately,” Stephanie says. “We loved the exposed brick, concrete floors and 360-degree views of St. Louis. The juxtaposition of hard industrial venue with glamorous details we used to decorate was exactly what we wanted to accomplish.” They added string lights, gold chargers, crystal candelabras and spray painted gold wine bottles throughout the decor. Even the four-tier wedding cake was gold to keep with the glamorous vibe! Instead of giving guests traditional wedding favors, Stephanie and Bo made a donation to The Wounded Warriors Project (since Bo was in the Army) and the ASPCA (for their love of animals).
