A Classic Elegant Wedding in the Guthrie Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Guthrie, Oklahoma
Tia Ellis (27 and a laboratory assistant) and Dustin Russell (27 and an application support analyst) met while attending Oklahoma State University through a mutual friend. After graduating, moving to Oklahoma City and being together for four years, Dustin took Tia back to Stillwater on Election Day and proposed on campus. "Dustin taking me back to where we met to propose was one of the greatest moments of my life," says Tia. The couple chose to have their wedding and reception at the Guthrie Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Their ceremony took place in the Egyptian Room, an exquisite grand hall filled with classic decor, painted walls and a ceiling to look like the starry sky. The couple wanted their color palette to blend in, so they chose shades of orange, coral and greens for their wedding party and decor. The bride wore a strapless sweetheart neckline gown with a lace overlay and an embellished sash and looked classic and elegant like the wedding venue. Following the ceremony, the couple spent the reception enjoying a pasta bar, local Oklahoma wine, international beers and a coral ombre wedding cake with their guests.
