A Classic, Elegant Wedding in Kansas City, MO

Stephanie and her mother collected antique brass candlesticks, vases and bowls for the centerpieces.
The table numbers were homemade and used a Moroccan-inspired motif and, you guessed it, more glitter.
Delightful details reinforced the color palette.
“I knew I wanted to include the Song of Solomon on the front,” Stephanie says of the ceremony programs. “It was special to both George and me.”
The color palette was gold, ivory, emerald, black and glitter— Stephanie’s favorite “color.” The sparkly gold initials for the bride and groom chairs were an easy DIY detail.
Stephanie asked her bridesmaids to pick their own dress, as long as it was Amsale, chiffon, black, and floor length.
The church’s dramatic interior called for minimal décor. Stephanie saved her ideas for the reception.
“George wanted a classic Frank Sinatra look,” says Stephanie. He and his groomsmen wore tuxedos. Each bridesmaid chose a black chiffon dress in her own style.
A bouquet of dahlias, ranunculuses, garden roses and sweet peas complemented Stephanie’s romantic ivory lace dress.
