A Classic, Elegant Wedding at Sonoma Golf Club in Sonoma, California
Sonoma Golf Club in Sonoma, California, embodies the culture of its region through its historic architecture and lush landscaping, serving as the ideal location for this classic, elegant wedding. Jessica Moylan (28 and in winemaking) and Esteban Martinez (29 and in winemaking) knew wine country well from their work, and once they were charmed by the venue, it was hard to say no to the Sonoma spot for their wedding. The ceremony took place at Mission San Francisco Solano in downtown Sonoma, where Jessica and Esteban fell in love with the ornate building that reflected Spanish Catholic history, captured on camera by Megan Clouse Photography. The wedding party embodied the white, green, pink and peach hues that made up the day's palette, from the mint green ties and bridesmaid dresses to the bouquets with peach garden roses; these pops of color were arranged by PoppyStone. At the outdoor-indoor reception, A Savvy Event assisted with displaying escort cards on a table decorated with classic roses, peonies and garden roses arranged inside a tall gold vase, which was surrounded by white candles. Jessica and Esteban cut into their classic white wedding cake that stood three tiers tall, beaded at the base of each layer and accented with fresh flowers. What was our favorite detail? Jessica's beautiful choice in wedding dress, which was an ivory Claire Pettibone gown with lace cap sleeves that matched the layers of lace going down the skirt. "It felt like we threw an awesome house party, but it was decorated with the most elegant flowers and tables," Jessica says. "Everyone was having fun and enjoying themselves."
