A Classic, Elegant Wedding at Running Hare Vineyards in Prince Frederick, Maryland
Britney Latham (25 and a human resources specialist) and Jimmy Kane (24 and an auctioneer) met at a college party and dated throughout college. Jimmy proposed to Britney at her parents' home, when his family was visiting for Christmas. His family gave her a jewelry box with pictures of Britney and Jimmy in it, and Jimmy presented Britney with a cushion cut diamond ring to fill the box. The couple held their ceremony at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Port Tobacco, Maryland, which is Britney's family church and where her sister is laid to rest. Britney and Jimmy were able to share a private moment and pay respects to her sister after their heartwarming ceremony. The following reception was held at Running Hare Vineyards in Prince Frederick, Maryland, which boasts gorgeous vineyards of the surrounding countryside. Their elegant, understated wedding was simple and classic. Blooming white flower arrangements included hydrangeas, roses and lisianthus and tables were draped with burlap runners. At the end of the night, Britney surprised Jimmy with a groom's cake in the shape of a Philadelphia Eagles' helmet, which guests enjoyed along with the traditional white wedding cake. "We wouldn't change a thing about our wedding," says Britney. "It was a celebration with our favorite people, and the day was filled with so much love."
