Describing the décor as “modern romance meets the beach,” Tarrah Amato (33 and a director of digital marketing and media) and John Forte (35 and an attorney) combined colorful botanicals with gold accents for their summer celebration.

“At the very last minute I asked my florist to create a floral comb made with the same flowers in my bouquet to wear with my blusher,” Tarrah says of adding a pop of color to her look. Since the ceremony backdrop included water views, the couple kept the décor simple with a birch arch accented with florals and greenery.

“Those photographs are some of my favorites,” Tarrah says of getting ready with her bridesmaids.

Tarrah’s bold bouquet blended succulents, peonies and billy balls with seasonal blooms.

Guests moved inside to the romantic ballroom for shore-inspired eats, whiskey cocktails and plenty of dancing. Tarrah and John took their first spin on the dance floor to Otis Redding’s “That’s How Strong My Love Is.” “The lyrics represent our relationship in the best way,” the bride says.

Sweets didn’t end with the almond-flavored wedding cake—the couple gifted their favorite local fudge as favors.
