A Classic Church Wedding at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana

It was a no-brainer for football fans Kristin (28 and a sales rep) and Michael (35 and a coach) to wed at the bride's alma mater of the University of Notre Dame. "It was an easy decision because it was always my derma to get married in my hometown!" the bride says. The two said "I do" at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the university's campus in a traditional Catholic ceremony. "We just wanted to make it a celebration of family and love," Kristin says. While the groomsmen wore classic black tuxes, the bridesmaids added a pop of color to the wedding party thanks to royal blue, tea-length dresses from David's Bridal. "I have very simple, classic tastes so that's how I chose the attire," Kristin says. "My dress felt right the second that I put it on!" As far as wedding day advice goes? "Enjoy it!" Kristin says. "Take in everything an enjoy the moment -- the whole experience truly does fly by. And remember that the day is about you and your spouse and the love that you share -- celebrate that!"
