A Classic Christmastime Wedding at Robbins Sanford Grand Hall in Searcy, Arkansas

Cameron Alt (29 and a pharmacist) and Matt Calhoun (22 and and a physical therapy student) met on a medical mission trip to Guatemala. For their wedding, the couple wanted a classic, timeless look and used a black, white, blush and gold color palette. Inspired by their Christmastime wedding, they added some wintery details such as DIY Christmas ornament favors and biodegradable snow to throw during the recessional. They chose to exchange vows at night in Cone Chapel on Harding University’s campus because they loved the Christmas lights in the background through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Afterwards, they went to Robbins Sanford Grand Hall for a classic ballroom reception. Cameron and Matt both love to eat and wanted the reception to be all about the food. They had a southern-style buffet with poppyseed chicken, rice, green beans, hash brown casserole and cheddar biscuits. For dessert, they had three cakes—a traditional white wedding cake decorated with vintage broaches, a chocolate on chocolate cake topped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and an Oreo dirt cake.
