A Classic, Chic Wedding at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri
Everything about Madison Marcolla (26 and a lawyer) and Aaron Hatten’s (26 and a financial consultant) wedding screamed timelessness and refinement. We love how they used simple details—black-and-white stationery and low hydrangea centerpieces—to bring their vision to life. Hannah Klamann from Weddings by Hannah helped perfect the details and ensure that the couple got hitched without a hitch at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri. “The church is so beautiful, it looks like a painting,” Madison says. “With light pouring in from the breathtaking stained-glass windows and a gold crown framing the altar, Aaron and I said 'I do' with our families by our side.” The wedding party (four bridesmaids and four groomsmen) comprised Madison and Aaron’s siblings and donned chic black attire for the formal affair. Their classic-dinner-turned-dance-party reception took place at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, which perfectly suited their style. “Even before Aaron proposed, we knew we wanted our reception to be at Union Station,” Madison says. “It’s a place where Aaron had fond memories of visiting with his late mother and one of Kansas City's most iconic buildings. It is beautifully detailed with marble wainscoting, terra cotta and a massive plaster ceiling with ornate details.” One of our favorite parts of the day? Madison’s stunning Vera Wang trumpet-style wedding dress, complete with a Swarovski crystal belt. See our favorite details, beautifully captured by Jessica Roark from EpagaFoto, below.
