A Classic, Chic Wedding at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, New Jersey

Lindsey Amato (28 and a manager at the Office of the President at the International Women's Health Coalition) and Michael Minkoff (28 and an attorney at Borelli & Associates, P.L.L.C.) had a classic, chic black tie affair for their wedding. They used a neutral ivory, green and soft blue color palette with gold and wood accents for the perfect balance of simple but sophisticated. Lindsey wore a gorgeous Jenny Packham ball gown with a plunging neckline intricate crystal detailing. The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Catholic ceremony at Holy Family Parish, which they found sweet and simple. They also loved their officiant, Father Frederick Walters. “Father Fred was such a dream to work with and he was Irish (with a brogue and all), which was not planned but, of course, made us feel so at home,” Lindsey says. “He reminded me a lot of my deceased Irish grandparents so it almost felt like having a family member officiate the wedding. His humor was so sweet and so Irish!” After their intimate ceremony, Lindsey and Michael took a vintage Rolls Royce to their reception at The Park Savoy. “We cannot say enough about how absolutely incredible the entire experience with The Park Savoy was,” she says. At the end of the night, instead of traditional wedding favors, the couple made a donation to the Girl Scouts of the United States. Their wedding was on Oct. 11, which the United Nations declared as the International Day of the Girl Child. “It is not just a day, but a movement dedicated to the full realization of girls' human rights,” Lindsey says. “I've personally seen the Girl Scouts in action at the UN and wanted to support their amazing work.”
