A Classic, Chic Wedding at The Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri

Jennifer Malle (29 and an account manager) and Michael Beck (29 and a director of operations) met through mutual friends, and, four years later, Michael proposed with a marquise solitaire diamond on a diamond band. “He even sprung for two wedding bands, which I like to say is because he made me wait so long before he proposed. He owed me,” Jennifer says. For their wedding the couple chose to have a traditional Catholic ceremony at the same church Jennifer’s parents were married. Not only did they love the sentimental value of the church, but they also loved the stained glass and gold accents. Afterwards, Jennifer and Michael went to The Chase Park Plaza for their reception. Wanting everything to look clean, classic and ultra chic, they used a blush and ivory color palette with lots of gold accents throughout the decor. The lush floral arrangements were a combination of roses, hydrangeas and sweet peas and they were accented with floating candles for a romantic flair. The geometric lights at the hotel added a modern vibe to the otherwise timeless room. They enjoyed a four-tier ruffled buttercream cake topped with roses for dessert, and danced to The Charles Glenn Group. “Our band was outstanding,” Jennifer says. “People described it as a concert. They are amazing and played a great mix of Motown and newer hits.”
