A Classic, Chic Wedding at Kiawah Island Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina

Using a navy, blush and gold palette, Anjuli Lohn (27 and a TV news anchor and reporter) and Charles Davis (27 and works in private equity) had a chic destination wedding in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. “We decided to do a destination wedding because I really wanted to keep our head count down,” Anjuli says. “His family is from Tampa and so is mine, so I knew our guest list would be out of control if we kept it in town. Plus, we had been to many destination weddings that were memorable. I love how it's like a little vacation with your closest family and friends. Charles's family visits Kiawah often, and he told me I would fall in love with it. One trip and it stole my heart! There's nothing else like it.” Elise Nuckols of Charleston Stems added lush romance throughout the details with stunning floral arrangements including gardenias, garden roses and peonies. Anjuli and Charles set the tone for their sophisticated wedding early with gorgeous gold calligraphy invitations that were handwritten by a family friend, and then turned into a letterpress. They completed the look with gold-foil magnolia envelope liners in honor of their South Carolina destination. There are so many details we love—see them all, beautifully captured by Riverland Studios, below. Anjuli advises future brides to remember what the day is about when planning their weddings. “No one is going to notice those cocktail napkins you spent three hours perfecting. This is one of the few times in life where everyone you love will be together, and all to celebrate you and your husband. Cherish every moment.”
