A Classic, Charming Wedding at Newhall Mansion in Piru, California

What better way to have a classic wedding than on the grounds of a charming, historic mansion? After Devyn Porras (24 and a medical receptionist) and Daniel Porras (25 and a process server) saw several venues, they came across the Newhall Mansion in Piru, California, and fell in love with the lush landscaping and the Victorian-style architecture that was captured on camera by Micah J Photography. The green, gold and white palette was inspired by succulents (with some help from The Knot), which decorated the space—from the bouquets mixed with white roses to the accents on the white wedding cake. Devyn picked out an ivory wedding dress designed by Casablanca Bridal, with a deep V-neckline in front and back and a stunning lace overlay. The wedding party embodied the classic palette as well, with bridesmaids dressed in floor-length green chiffon dresses that and groomsmen wearing green ties with their black suits. Devyn and Daniel held their ceremony on the lawn underneath a large tree, where they said their vows at the wedding arch covered in ivory blooms and lush greenery. The reception took place on the venue's patio, where guests were seated at white-covered dining tables that surrounded the dance floor with string lights hanging from above. We loved the "Words of Wisdom" cards that guests could fill out for Devyn and Daniel, which were placed inside the centerpieces of succulents and ivory blooms on each dining table. "Relax, do what you can, and have fun planning together," Devyn says. "Enjoy every moment of your wedding."
