A Classic Burgundy and Blue Wedding at Villa Siena in Gilbert, Arizona
Amber Olds and Adam King drew inspiration from Villa Siena’s Tuscan vibe to pull off their winter wedding in Gilbert, Arizona. A dramatic palette of burgundy, navy and gold paid tribute to the season, while classic décor let the natural appeal of the setting shine through.
“With Villa Siena already so stunning, we didn’t have to do much to decorate the space,” Amber says. Midnight-blue table linens topped with bold bouquets of burgundy, ivory and peach blooms made the intimate courtyard where the ceremony was held pop. As a nod to their last name—King—the couple incorporated gilded crown details. Lanterns housing votive candles cast warm, ambient light over the tablescapes after sunset.
As a personal twist on table numbers, the couple used childhood pictures of themselves from ages 1–10. “We also chose to do a calendar for our guest book,” Amber says. “We had a large floral print calendar set up for all of our guests to add their birthday and anniversaries to.”
At the end of the evening, the newlyweds joined their guests outdoors, where Amber’s dad surprised the couple with fireworks.
“No matter what happens on your wedding day, as long as at the end of the day you are married to your best friend and love of our life, then your wedding day was perfect. Enjoy the day and don’t sweat the small stuff,” Amber says.
