Caitlin Plattner (29 and a marketing professional) and Benjy Strempel (31 and a financial regional vice president) met through mutual friends. “We knew we had something special when we shared a love for 80s music, fitness and neon colored everything,” Caitlin says. Benjy proposed at the top of one of their favorite hikes in Malibu right in front of a gorgeous waterfall. The couple decided to get married in Denver because that’s the city where they met. The chose the Denver Country Club because its lush greenery and proximity to downtown. They wanted their wedding to feel romantic and elegant without being stuffy, so they used shades of pink, gray and purple throughout the details. They worked with Somerset Floral Design to create the pink and white floral arrangements and made a lot of the other details themselves. Caitlin made all of the origami heart escort cards (which we love!), rustic chalkboard signs and chevron table numbers. After the outdoor ceremony, the couple enjoyed lawn games such as corn hole and a personalized playlist made by Caitlin and Benjy. For the reception, Syndicate Band stole the show. “The entertainment was fantastic,” Caitlin says. “Syndicate Band blew our expectations out of the water. They performed our first dance song for us, and they got everyone up and dancing all night long. Everyone was on the dance floor. It was a blast. People still talk about how much they loved our band.”

“I totally botched one of our dance moves for our first dance,” Caitlin says. “We just started laughing in the middle of it and kept having fun. We just went with the flow that day and weren't stressed in the slightest.”
