A Classic Blush and Ivory Wedding at Pueblo Union Depot in Pueblo, Colorado

Shandace Smith and Jake Mandelko met while they were both on spring break with their friends in Las Vegas. Four years later, he proposed in the same place they met. For their wedding, the couple opted for a traditional Catholic ceremony at Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Pueblo, Colorado, saying they loved the spot's vaulted ceilings and stained-glass windows. Shandace chose a strapless trumpet-style wedding dress with ruching on the bodice and a ruffled skirt, completing her look with a traditional veil for the religious ceremony and later changing into a smaller tulle hair accessory for the reception. After their first kiss, the couple took their celebration to the historic Pueblo Union Depot in Pueblo, Colorado, a former railroad station built in 1890. Shandace and Jake used a timeless blush and ivory color palette and decorated the reception tables with tall glass vases filled with copper beads, pink tulle and pink peonies. At the end of the day, the couple cut into a three-tier ruffled buttercream cake (to match the bride’s dress!) topped with pink peonies and ivory garden roses. They had a celebratory grand exit with their guests framing the aisle with sparklers.
