A Classic Blush and Ivory Loft Wedding at Abode Venue in Wichita, Kansas
Jessica Brend (25 and a hair stylist) and Brody Latham (27 and works in multimedia production and marketing) met while their families were vacation at Table Rock Lake, and five years later, Brody proposed on the dock at Jessica's parents' lake house. The couple decided to exchange vows at Abode Venue in Wichita, Kansas, because of its contemporary modern vibe, open space and incredible staff. Although they really prefer lounging at the the lake, they decided to add a little romantic glamour to their wedding with a blush and ivory color palette complete with metallic gold and silver accents. “One of my favorite movies is Father of the Bride, and that was the color palette they used,” Jessica says. Wanting all the delicate softness (without being too girly) the couple worked with Moore Flowers to create the gorgeous floral arrangements that brought the outside in to their modern venue. “Our florist, Jodi at Moore Flowers, and our wedding planner, Allie Sacket, from Jubilations, were the masterminds to our whole design,” Jessica says. “Without them I would've been so lost! They took a few of our ideas and turned them into the most beautiful fairytale.” Jessica and Brody showered their guests with awesome food catered by Truffles and mind-blowing cakes from Buckingham Cakes, which included three red velvet cakes along with a large assortment of other yummy treats.
