A Classic Black-and-White Wedding at the Commons in Columbus, Indiana

Jessica Kruse (25 and a sales manager at Newport Aquarium) and Tad Kilburn (27 and an account executive at Xerox) held their wedding in Columbus, Indiana, where Jessica grew up. Since a majority of the guests were from out of town, the couple used their wedding weekend as a showcase for their city. Columbus is well known for its architecture, so Jessica and Tad scheduled architectural tours for guests who were interested. The first stop on the tour? The ceremony at the Inn at Irwin Gardens, a bed and breakfast built in 1864. The reception took place at the Commons, a modern city building with views of the city. The blend of a ceremony at the classic Inn at Irwin Gardens with the reception at the modern the Commons worked with the couple's classic theme with modern inspiration, brought to life with a black-and-white palette with pops of purple and pink. Gold sequin linens and Jessica's Gatsby-inspired Maggie Sottero gown add a touch of old Hollywood glam to the couple's gorgeous wedding. Check out more photos, by Pottinger Photography, below.
