A Classic Ballroom Wedding at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia
rn “We wanted a classic, fairy-tale ballroom wedding,” Valerie Butler (26 and a product manager) says of her marriage to Andrew Baird (28 and a cloud architect). The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, was everything: Its timelessly elegant architecture and decor won over Valerie and Andrew, and the ballroom easily accommodated their 110 guests. A Sister's Touch Event Planning and Floral Design helped Valerie and Andrew accent the sophisticated setting with a light palette of blue, yellow and white. Continuing the regal atmosphere, Valerie wore a stunning dress that was covered in sparkly beads and embellishments. For the couple, two moments stood out to make the day unforgettable. Everybody knows that Valerie loves to dance “The Wobble” at friends’ weddings, so when the DJ played it at Valerie and Andrew’s reception, almost everybody jumped onto the dance floor. (They got people who never dance to join in, and Valerie’s parents even practiced ahead of time.) At the end of the night, Valerie and Andrew ran through an aisle of sparklers to their limo, while their friends sang a group karaoke reprise of their first-dance song, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” See the sweet details, captured by Lindley’s Photography, below.
