A Classic Ballroom Wedding at The Columbus Athenaeum in Columbus, Ohio

This classic ballroom wedding tone was set through a romantic color palette of purple and burgundy accented in gold, decorating everything from the plum-colored pomander carnations that bridesmaids held to the centerpieces filled with burgundy flowers on white tables, arranged by Bloomtastic. Holly Wolliser (30 and a high school Spanish teacher) and Mike Park (33 and a high school English teacher) held their wedding ceremony at the Derby Court inside the Columbus Museum of Art in Columbus, Ohio, with a high ceiling covered in windows that revealed the surrounding natural property. The rest of the celebration took place at the Columbus Athenaeum in Columbus, Ohio, where guests enjoyed an open beer-and-wine bar on the terrace and then moved into the Olympian Ballroom for a night of eating and dancing, all photographed by Style & Story Creative. Since Mike was a die-hard Cleveland sports fan, we loved that his bride surprised him with a special themed treat. “I surprised him with a trio of cupcakes at the head of the table from a cupcake shop close to our house, designed in the style, color and logo of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers,” Holly says.
