A Classic Ballroom Wedding at Berkeley City Club in Berkeley, California

Meredith Massar (29 and an art history PhD student) and Chris Munson (29 and a philanthropy grant maker) were all about the venues filled with rich history for their classic wedding. They were drawn to the historic Christ Church in Berkeley, California, which has maintained a modest style since being built in 1912. Meredith's long tulle veil draped over the steps leading up to the altar at the front of the church, which Kate's Captures Photography caught on camera as Meredith and Chris shared their first kiss as a married couple. The yellow roses and tulips bridesmaid bouquets added a pop of color next to Meredith's bridal bouquet, elegantly assorted with white roses, orchids and stock. Friends and family entered the Berkeley City Club in Berkeley, California, for the reception, with a sign that read "Welcome y'all" leading them into the classic ballroom. Guests sat at simple white-covered round dining tables that were decorated with not-so-simple centerpieces—arrangements filled with cabbage and asparagus inspired by Meredith's graduate work related to food. Our favorite detail? Meredith's gorgeous ivory wedding dress with cap sleeves, entirely accented in lace and designed by Anthropologie's wedding brand, BHLDN.
