A Classic and Romantic Summer Wedding at Kestrel Park in Santa Ynez, California

Brittany Wilkins and Jeff Paulo had a classic, romantic wedding at Kestrel Park in Santa Ynez, California. The big day was inspired by Outside Lands, a music festival where they met. The ceremony took place under a canopy of trees, and the aesthetic matched the couple's calligraphed invitation perfectly. "One of the reasons we fell in love with Kestrel Park was for the breathtaking sycamore trees that lined the ceremony space," Brittany says. "We wanted our seating and floral arrangements to complement the natural backdrop." The soft wheat-toned chairs blended in with the natural landscape—and so did the romantic bouquets with soft flowers.  A simple neutral-colored seating chart introduced guests to the fun-loving reception. "We wanted the color palette to start off very soft and romantic for the ceremony and transition to something a bit more dramatic and fun for the reception celebration," Brittany says. "As a nod to Jeff’s heritage, his family led the wedding through a Chamarrita at the reception, which is a traditional Portuguese dance. The moonshine offered by the Paulo family helped encourage participation." Reception decor consisted of a mix of exposed wooden tables with dusty blue runners, and neutral-colored tables with soft velvet linens. Gold chairs gave an unexpected pop of luxury, while an exposed wooden bar added a rustic touch. Other personalized elements gave a nod to the Outside Lands music festival: "To continue with the Outside Lands theme and to honor our love for music, we had sentimental lyrics adorning our escort display which guests could take as a keepsake. Our guest books were records from some of our favorite bands at Outside Lands throughout the years and we even had our tables named after the stages," Brittany says.
