A Chic White Wedding at Historic Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina

Using a black-and-white color palette, Claire Stoneburner (31 and a manger for a medical sales company) and Adam Rabe (31 and a district manager for a construction company) had an ultra-chic soiree. They chose Historic Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina, for its historical significance and several locations to choose from. They exchanged vows on the front lawn of the Robert Mills House, with its stunning brick and white pillars as the backdrop. Wanting to add a little garden flair to the location, florists Margaret Merritt and Helen Trask of Mount Pleasant created swoon-worthy arrangements, such as the simple white lily bridal bouquet and leafy wildflower aisle decor. The stunning tented reception matched the look perfectly with string lights twinkling from the ceiling and towering floral arrangements bringing the outside in. We loved Claire’s stunning Modern Trousseau wedding dress. She loved the sweetheart neckline and keyhole back, as well as the rosette detailing on the skirt. Adam wore with a white dinner jacket, black bow tie and even a cummerbund. The best part? The amazing bands C-Squared Productions and Sol Fusion. “Cocktail hour was full of shag tunes and upbeat dance songs that got the guests in the mood to dance,” Claire says. “Shortly after cocktail hour, the most amazing band joined the stage and took it away. Sol Fusion are hands down the most entertaining, upbeat, interactive, engaging, fun entertainers we could have asked for. They are amazing.” See all our favorite details, beautifully captured by Jennings King Photography, below.
