A Chic, Vintage Wedding at One Ocean Resort and Spa in Atlantic Beach, Florida

Angela Cibene (20) has always loved 1920s fashion, so when it was time for her and Joseph Leydard (23) to plan their wedding, using the era as inspiration was a natural choice. Everything from the feather-accented invitation suite to her lavender, lace-accented wedding shoes to the venue, One Ocean Resort and Spa, was picked with an art deco feel in mind. Their DIY touches, however, made the day even more personal. Angela and Joseph made each ceremony program (including the silk ribbon), designed every chalkboard sign, worked with family members and bridesmaids to make 150 calligraphy door hangers and even sent everyone home with shortbread cookie favors to acknowledge Angela’s time in Scotland. Of course, Angela and Joseph also love to have fun, so the soiree was filled with dancing. “We included songs that were significant in our relationship, as well as a traditional Scottish dance,” Angela says. “Once the music started, the dance floor was packed all night.” Bri Cibene Photography caught this moment and so much more.
