A Chic, Rustic Wedding at Camp Comfort in Comfort, Texas

In less than four months, Rachel Bam (26 and an elementary school director) and Jason Buck (36 and a middle school athletic director) planned a chic outdoor wedding that was exactly what they wanted—right down to the setting at Camp Comfort in Comfort, Texas. "The smell of the campfire and the sound of the rushing river were everything we had pictured for our special day,” Jason says. Their decor drew on Camp Comfort's fun, rustic vibe. A wedding arch was switched out for a bamboo “teepee,” while guests took their seats among wooden benches with bright striped blankets or wooden folding chairs. As for the reception, almost everything was focused on the setting with family-style wooden tables, orange campfire chairs, a fire pit and wooden barrel cocktail tables set by the cabin-inspired hotel rooms. Handpicked vintage dinnerware and classic arrangements of tulips, roses and greenery only enhanced their natural space. Of course, since it was a party, Rachel and Jason made sure to keep their guests entertained with an incredible live performance by Finding Friday. “They absolutely rocked it; everyone thoroughly enjoyed their performance throughout the night,” Jason says.
