A Chic, Romantic Wedding at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee

Wanting an al fresco fete, Anne Dodd (31 and a behavior analyst) and Kenton Dodd (40 and a physician) had their wedding at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee—the breathtaking view of greenery and the option of a garden wedding with a patio reception felt right to them. Plus, the venue catered both the cocktail hour and reception, which gave them peace of mind. Wedding planner Tiffanie Elliott of Elliott Events went over-the-top to bring Anne and Kenton’s sophisticated-chic vision to life. At their ceremony on the golf course, Anne and Kenton said “I do” under a wedding arch with dangling hydrangeas and crystals. A palette of rich purple, silver and pops of pink at their reception contrasted the greenery of their golf course venue and created an aura of romance with lush flower arrangements in tall glass vases and low mirrored boxes, crystals, floating candles and tea lights. A standout detail? Signature Cakes by Vicki went above and beyond to create not only a gorgeous wedding cake with intricate lace details, but also a groom’s cake with an edible car.
