A Chic Lowcountry Wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina

For their first date, Brooke Austin (30 and a sales lead) and Bryson Jennings (26 and a country musician) went to a wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. So when it came time for their own nuptials, they didn’t look elsewhere for the perfect venue. With towering Spanish-moss-covered oak trees and a gorgeous historic home, they used the plantation as inspiration for their entire day. Brooke and Bryson enlisted the help of wedding planner Megan Chandler from Ooh Events to ensure all the details came together flawlessly—and she totally got the look. “Megan made it all possible,” Brooke says. “I knew I wanted a bed swing to hang from one of the beautiful oak trees, and I also wanted hanging lanterns. Megan really made the wedding of my dreams a reality.” One of our favorite details was the stunning florals from Out of Hand Florist. From the lush peony bouquets to the leafy reception chandelier, Brooke and Bryson created an overgrown garden feel we can’t help but love. There are so many details to adore about this wedding!
