A Chic Green Wedding at Heritage Plantation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Inspired by the Southern charm of Heritage Plantation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Erika Trent (28 and a quality engineer) and Robert Ramsbottom (26 and a product development engineer) chose an emerald green and navy blue palette for their chic Low Country-inspired wedding. “We knew the moment we got engaged that we wanted to go back home to the beautiful coasts of the Low Country for our wedding day,” Erika says. “We chose the stunning Heritage Plantation as our venue with its picturesque scenery and draping live oaks. It was the perfect backdrop to our dreamy day.” They kept their decor minimal to let the beauty of the location be the focal point. They did add gorgeous, lush floral arrangements, throughout for a little added romance, though. Greenskeeper Florist created Erika’s stunning white anemone, peony and hydrangea bouquet, and Erika arranged the other florals with hydrangeas and hypericum berries. We love that they set the tone early with letterpres-printed invitations and save-the-dates (that Erika made herself), which were complete with handpicked vintage stamps from places that were meaningful to her and Robert and their quests together. Our favorite part was the chic attire: Erika wore a classic strapless A-line dress for the ceremony and then changed into a sheath dress with a ruffled collar for dinner and dancing. The wedding party perfectly matched her look with one-shouldered emerald green dresses for the bridesmaids and dapper navy suits with green-and-blue-striped bow ties.
