A Chic, Bold Wedding at Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado
Johanna Bohrer (28 and a sales representative) wanted her wedding with Nick Grossman (32 and a regional sales manager) to look a lot like her personal style—full of basic pieces completed with stunning details. Johanna and Nick used a neutral palette of navy and gray as their base colors and accented it with bold shades of red for a dramatic pop of color we can’t help but love! Nicole Iverson from Swank Stems created lush, textured florals including the red orange bouquets that not only added some color to the ceremony, but also decorated the head table at the reception. Since you can never have too many flowers, Johanna and Nick also worked with Melissa Sanchez at City Market in Vail to bulk order some of the florals for the reception. “Melissa was a godsend,” Johanna says. “She helped us with our flowers and was super flexible.” The day started at The Chapel at Beaver Creek in Avon, Colorado, before everyone headed to Donovan Pavilion in Vail, Colorado, to have their cocktail hour on the patio and dinner inside. “We love the mountains so we decided to have out wedding in Vail, where we had some of our fondest memories dating,” Johanna says. “We liked the Donovan Pavilion because it was beautiful just the way it was and you didn’t have to add a ton of decor to dress it up.” There are so many details we love!
