Leah and Andre aimed to soak in the summer sun for their August wedding. “We wanted it to be bright, fun and colorful,” Leah says. So they decided to invite 150 loved ones for brunch at Ashton Gardens, where tall windows flooded the reception with natural light. It ended up raining, but with a blush, tangerine and yellow palette, that hardly mattered. A mimosa bar, eggs Benedict and swing music completed the cheery vibe.

Sunny invitations set the tone for the daytime party while bright zinnias, ranunculus, roses, yarrow, oranges and grapefruit topped tables and added to the vibe. Given the brunch theme, glazed doughnuts from Max’s Donut Shop were a must. The couple also served lemon cake and popsicles.
