A Cheerful Classic Wedding at a Private Residence in Mount Victoria, Maryland

Lauren Sullivan (27 and an attorney) and Mark Posey (27 and works in real estate) had their wedding celebration in the backyard of Lauren's family home. The couple's engraved invitations included a drawing of the estate, a custom monogram and vintage Maryland stamps.  After exchanging vows in a chapel near the water, the couple and their guests headed to Lauren's family's estate with champagne, oysters and a jazz trio. Boxwood topiaries framed the entrance to the tent, which housed chinoiserie vases, seasonal blooms and a dance floor.  “I was inspired by fabrics, wallpapers and gardens,” Lauren says. “I wanted it residential and intimate, like an enchanted garden that extended from the house.” Lauren, a longtime collector of china, used her favorite pattern as inspiration and dinnerware for their wedding day. “I can’t think of a more special occasion to use your china,” she says. To top off the evening, Mark organized fireworks to end his speech. “It was magical,” Lauren says.
