A Charming Summer Wedding at Spirit Ranch in Lubbock, TX

Lydia Domenech (22, Teacher’s Aid) met Austin White (23, Student) at their high school in Midland, Texas. During her sophomore and his junior year the two began to date. The high school lovebirds tried to keep their relationship alive through college, but decided to take a break while the two began their careers at separate universities. Two years later, Austin transferred to Texas Tech, where Lydia was studying Human Development and Family Studies, to pursue a degree in petroleum engineering. The two picked up right where they left off before the semester’s classes even started. During the spring of Lydia’s junior year the two planned a weekend trip to Austin, Texas to visit Austin’s sister at the University of Texas. Under the impression they would be attending a concert, Lydia didn’t suspect a thing. On the night of March 23, 2013 Austin popped the question and presented Lydia with a double halo, oval diamond stunner. Lydia and Austin planned a spring wedding over the course of their 14-month engagement. “When I was thinking about what I wanted our wedding to feel like I wanted to have a backyard feel, very intimate,” says Lydia. “Spirit Ranch gave me just what I was looking for.” The outdoor location, rich with old growth trees and lush grounds provided the ultimate relaxed feel Lydia and Austin had in mind. On May 31, 2014 the two said ‘I do’ surrounded by 150 of their closest friends and family members in a Christian ceremony.
