A Charming Southern Wedding at Watson House in Emerald Isle, North Carolina
Kate Brown (30 and a government contractor) and Jordan Moore (30 and a fitness professional) were inspired by their wedding venue. They got married at Watson House, a French country-style manor by the water in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. "I didn't want to take away from the natural beauty of the location," Kate says. "I chose colors that I thought would complement everything that already existed." Kate and Jordan's palette consisted of soft peach and blush, ivory, dusty blue and gold accents. Flower arrangements of blue hydrangeas, peach roses, pink garden roses, dusty miller and eucalyptus lined the aisle at the waterfront ceremony and dotted the tables at the tented reception. The bridesmaids carried similar bouquets with their floor-length, blue chiffon dresses. Each place setting was arranged with elegant gold and silver dinnerware. Kate and Jordan also incorporated vintage touches in their decor. The floral centerpieces at the reception were displayed on antique candelabras and vintage teapots, and the buttercream wedding cake for dessert was showcased on a vintage wooden bureau with an antique cake stand. Our favorite detail? Kate's beautiful beaded dress with an illusion neckline, which she paired with a pretty birdcage veil for a classic, glamorous look.
