A Charming, Rustic Wedding at DeStarte Bed and Breakfast Wedding Barn in Lawndale, North Carolina

Summer Cornett (24 and a quality-improvement specialist) and Kelly Calloway (30 and a regional sales manager) knew they wanted to get married somewhere that showcased their love for the outdoors and somewhere guests could stay for an entire weekend getaway. From the moment Summer and Kelly saw DeStarte Bed and Breakfast Wedding Barn in Lawndale, North Carolina, they knew that was it. “We chose this venue for two reasons: The entire wedding venue was gorgeous from top to bottom, and we loved Glenda and Adam, the owners,” Summer says. “There was a charming, rustic feel to it that suited our styles perfectly.” Plus, they used the entire inn and the two adjacent cabins for all their out-of-town guests to stay. Although there were a lot of places to choose from for their ceremony, they picked a pine tree thicket for a charming, woodland aura. The reception was equally as gorgeous with different centerpieces on each table and plenty of wood and burlap details for a shabby-chic vibe that only enhanced the rustic wooden barn.
