A Rustic Vintage Wedding at the Cleveland Roller Mill Museum in Cleveland, New Mexico

Rebecca, 27 and a counselor, met Bud, 27 and a civil engineer, through a mutual friend at New Mexico State University. The two exchanged marital vows nestled in the woods of Mora, New Mexico, at the charming and rustic Cleveland Roller Mill Museum with an antique roller mill and lush mountains behind them. Rebecca’s vintage Neil Lane diamond engagement ring inspired the vintage theme of the wedding; the secluded valley ceremony featured sweet personal touches such as a wagon wheel hand painted with the couple’s names and wedding date. To capture the organic atmosphere of the wedding, bouquets and other flowers consisted of vibrant wildflowers and natural greenery. In addition, a plethora of hanging sunflower pomanders added bright pops of color to the stunning natural backdrop. The elegant reception took place in the Historic Plaza Hotel reception in small town Las Vegas, New Mexico, where the Yarbrough Band (think fiddle, bass and pedal steel guitar) had everyone two-stepping all night long. The couple also remembered Rebecca’s late grandmother on their special day with delicate sugar butterflies perched on the three tiers of their classic white cake. These college sweethearts presented each of their guests with a jar of chokecherry jelly made from wild chokecherries, the same plant that grows wild around the antique roller mill where Rebecca and Bud had their ceremony, as a memento of the rustic, romantic wedding their guests will not soon forget.
