A Charming, Garden-Inspired Vineyard Wedding at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, California

This garden-inspired wedding, perched on top of a hill in the vineyards surrounded by rolling hills, will have anyone dreaming of romance. Jamie Raun (30 and a registered nurse) and Jeff Javed (30 and a physician) wanted to stay true to their outdoor-loving roots and had their wedding outside at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, California, decorated in a romantic color palette of blush, ivory, gold and gray accented with lace detail. “Jeff and I both love the beauty of the rolling green hills in Northern California, and this ranch/winery was the perfect setting for our intimate, romantic and fun wedding,” Jamie says. The ceremony took place on the green lawn of the venue, where Jamie and Jeff said their vows at the wooden arch embellished with a garland of pastel roses, arranged by Mandolin Flowers and captured by Ashley Paige Photography. Long tables dressed in white linens and decorated with natural greenery were set up outside for guests to wine and dine, surrounded by the rustic elegance of the venue that was created by the help of Engaged and Inspired. Our favorite part of the venue was inside the Carriage House, where the dancing and cake cutting took place. With twinkling string lights wrapping around exposed wooden beams and a rustic wheel chandelier hanging from above, Jamie and Jeff had their first dance surrounded by loved ones and a natural, romantic setting they envisioned for their wedding day.

Jamie wore an ivory lace wedding dress with a long train designed by Maggie Sottero on her wedding day. "This dress had an ivory lace romance that I couldn't have been more in love with," Jamie says. "It was delicate corded lace on tulle that skimmed the shoulders and neckline of the lightweight gown, with an attached Monroe slip dress. Buttons trailed a zipper closure, which accented an illusion back."

Jamie held a lush bouquet filled with white anemone and a variety of pastel-colored roses, accented with leaves and arranged by Mandolin Flowers. She wore her hair down, curled and to the side for the wedding day, clipped with an elegant pin.
"Our wedding was held at the top of a hill at Holman Ranch Vineyards, in the midst of the rolling green hills of Carmel Valley, California," Jamie says. "Our entire wedding was held outdoors, where Jeff and I both love to be. We are outdoors people, so this beautiful setting was perfect for us."
Jeff stood at the altar wearing a single ivory rose boutonniere accented with bouvardia pinned onto his charcoal-gray suit jacket. He wore a black classic tie over his white collar dress shirt, completing his look for the wedding day.
Ivory Flower Girl Dress and Crown
Jamie and Jeff shared their first kiss outside at the Holman Ranch venue, with a backdrop of the vineyards and the green rolling hills. The branch wedding arch was positioned behind them, which was garnished by an lush garland of pastel roses and leaves.
The couple stood with their wedding party, who wore blush and charcoal gray that followed the larger color palette of blush, ivory, gold, gray and accents of lace. "My bridesmaids all wore blush-colored luxe chiffon dresses, all with different necklines that were suiting for each bridesmaid," Jamie says. "The groom and groomsmen all wore Vera Wang slim-fit charcoal gray tuxedos."

At the outdoor reception, long tables dressed in white tablecloths were lined with wooden folding chairs. The tables were draped with long green vines draping down the middle, just like a runner. Lush centerpieces of roses accented with eucalyptus and leaves decorated the middle.
At each dining table setting, simple white dinnerware was paired with champagne-colored linens. The plates were covered with white stationery that had wine-stopper wedding favors on top. Guests found their seats marked with a simple black-and-white escort card.
The traditional guest book was displayed on a white tablecloth-covered table, with a sign that read "I have found the one whom my soul loves." Long white candlesticks and lush flower arrangements decorated the rest of the table.

The four-tier ivory wedding cake was decorated with gold at the bottom of each layer, and the entire piece was positioned on top of a simple white stand. The cake table was dressed in a gold glamorous tablecloth, which also displayed the groom's cake resembling a dog and a bottle of champagne.
