A Champagne-Filled Sunrise Elopement on the Beach in San Francisco, California
When it came time to tie the knot, Addy and Brittani "wanted to keep it as simple as possible," so they decided to elope on the beach in San Francisco, California. They had "no theme or color palette even, just natures beauty surrounding us. Our ceremony was very non-traditional and not religious. The most traditional things we did were exchange rings and kiss at the end!"
Having a pared-down guest list didn't stop Brittani and Addy from having an emotional, love-filled wedding. Looking back on the day, both Brittani and Addy cite the vow exchange as their favorite part of the day. Brittani says she "wrote mine the night before and could not stop crying (hence my poofy eyes in the photos). I'm a pretty emotional and sentimental being so that was something I was looking forward to but most nervous for at the same time."
Although the couple didn't have a traditional reception, they did have small favors they gave to the handful of loved ones who were present at the beach elopement. "For our guests, we gave them each little gift baskets with mini-champagne and orange juice bottles (for mimosas), stemless champagne glasses, and macaroons and cake jars for dessert."
Addy encourages current to-be-weds in the throes of wedding planning to keep things simples and "try not to stress over things because it'll all fall into place." Britanni adds that when planning, it can be helpful to "keep some wiggle room in your budget. There are things you'll have to spend on that you can't anticipate until you start executing your plans. Something we did together that helped was splitting the cost of everything. We literally paid for everything ourselves and to keep it fair, we split the cost of everything down the middle, even our rings."
