The bride’s grandfather’s rooster lamp from the 1950s inspired the the wedding décor. It was flown up from Arkansas to serve as a focal point in the venue.
Guests took home rooster-shaped cookies in the signature color.
Out-of-town guests found pails filled with goodies in their hotel rooms. The rooster logo on the front gave them a sneak peek at the wedding theme.
When the lilies of the valley she ordered arrived dead, the florist whipped together an equally soft bouquet of roses and snowberries.
Since the venue was by the ocean, the couple gave their space a cabana feel with rattan furniture and pillows in the day’s palette.
The bride put her fashion design degree to good use and created the bubble-hemmed bridesmaid dresses with vintage-style bows.
Since a quirky reception would follow, Brooke and Robby chose to have a traditional church wedding.
The couple surprised their guests with wigs. The whole bridal party wore them while they danced to The Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive.”

Gobo lighting added texture to the tented venue, and the green color complemented the similarly hued linens and centerpieces.
