Adam and Alicia met in a bar and talked until the sun came up. The two discovered they had a lot in common: They were from the South, had degrees in painting, and liked the same books and beers. They made plans for a quintessentially New York date: a picnic at Coney Island. They even rode the Wonder Wheel and took pictures in a photo booth. A little over a year later, they spent a month in Europe together. The Bride Alicia Price, 27, a florist The Groom Adam Rico, 27, a photo shoot producer The Date May 16 Adam carried an engagement ring with him all through France and waited for the perfect moment to pop the question. He dropped to both knees while the two were stargazing from their rooftop in Cinque Terre, Italy.

Alicia and Adam spend a lot of time in Prospect Park with their dogs, so they already knew of the pretty lakeside setting the Boathouse provides.
Guests sampled macarons and petits fours that fit the wedding palette. Milk-glass stands for the treats pushed the vintage vibe.
Yellow Clutch Purse
This spring wedding was all about yellow. DIY décor details, like pennants and pom-pom wreaths, and vintage elements, like milk-glass vases and birds, gave the day a homespun, retro feel.
The signature yellow color was everywhere, including in pom-pom wreaths on the doors of the venue.
Instead of a book, guests signed fabric squares that the groom’s mom sewed into a quilt.
Guests took boat rides around the lake during the cocktail hour. Adam and Alicia, who had changed into a casual yellow dress, joined them for a couple of trips.
Yellow napkins and green-and-yellow centerpieces popped against the white reception table linens.
Yellow craspedia and ribbon were as playful as the groom’s shirt and tie.
The women wore the same BCBG dress, but they personalized their looks with their own accessories.
Yellow Table Cards
Ribbons and streamers added extra punch to peonies, ranunculus, yarrow, craspedia, roses, and dusty miller.
The couple collected over 100 pieces of vintage milk glass to hold peonies, ranunculus, and sweet peas. Pom-poms on the tables upped the fun factor.
The bride and her creative friends made pennant flags to customize the space along the water. The whimsical designs included birds and bunnies.
