A Casual Wedding at Historic Westwood in Knoxville, Tennessee

Stephanie Clay (33 and a nanny) and Jason Moore (34 and a server) met while working at a restaurant. After a few years of dating, they decided that before they got married, they both wanted to earn their bachelor’s degrees. The couple made a pact that if they took turns putting each other through school, they would tie the knot. They made good on their word: Stephanie graduated first, and when Jason completed school a few years later, he proposed the month following his graduation! The couple got married outdoors at the Historic Westwood mansion in Knoxville, Tennessee, followed by a reception at the Eaux Dance Studio. The bride wore an ivory lace dress with a v-neck front and back, and the groom wore a classic black tuxedo with a black vest and a plum paisley tie. The bridesmaids were in long chiffon plum dresses, and the groomsmen matched in plum vests and black tuxedos. The bouquets consisted of a colorful array of mums, which appeared woven through the ceremony arch under the oak tree with burlap and lace. “We are a very laid-back couple, and the casual, fun atmosphere of our wedding reflected us as a couple,” says Stephanie.
