A Casual, Vintage-Inspired Wedding at Green Pastures in Austin, Texas

Heather Broughton (28 and a nanny) and Jordan Hogan (30 and a mechanical engineer) met right out of college through a mutual connection and became good friends. “The way he proposed always be my favorite story to tell,” says Heather. She came home to a house full of rose petals in a trail leading onto their backyard. Along the trail were cards with significant numbers on them, including the number of years they dated, the address of their first home together and the last card, which read “Forever: The amount of time I want to spend with you.” Heather found Jordan outside in a suit where he asked her to marry him. “It still gives me goose bumps,” says Heather. The couple hosted their wedding at Green Pastures in Austin, Texas. The color palette of pale peaches, mints, creams and grays and vintage touches inspired the atmosphere and decorations. “Our favorite element of the day was the fact that our family was such a focal point,” says the bride.
