A Casual, Summer Wedding at a Private Residence in Wabamun, Alberta

Sara Davis (31 and a registered nurse) and Glenn Davis (43 and a CEO) met on a blind date and immediately felt the chemistry between them. Glenn had planned a romantic night in at their Palm Springs home where he planned for a professional chef to come and cook them a five-course meal. While Sara and Glenn were enjoying a bottle of champagne out by their pool, Glenn got down on one knee and proposed. Sara and Glenn decided to have their wedding at the cabin on Lake Wabamun in Alberta. "We chose this location," Sara says, "because this was where we spent the first months of our relationship, bonding at the lake and by the campfire." Due to unpredictable weather, they had their reception at a local hall in Wabamun, Alberta. "The theme we went for was country-glam," Sara says. Both Sara and Glenn grew up on farms but also enjoyed the finer things in life and they wanted to fit those styles into their day. Their color palette was ivory and canary yellow with a pop of coral pink. "We used a lot of Swarovski crystal accents, twinkle lights and frameless candles in our decor," Sara says. "And all of the linens and drapery were white with some table accents in yellow and and pink." Sara even created the centerpieces with pink pomanders and surrounding crystals and candles. Glenn and Sara made sure that their own style was incorporated into every element of their day.
