A Casual Spring Wedding at a Private Residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Robert Lane Johnson (27 and an instrumental music teacher) and Robert Michael Ranneberger (31 and a retail manager) first began talking over social media, which eventually turned into a first date at a local microbrewery that lasted for hours. "While we both resisted a steady relationship at first, we couldn't help but fall in love," the couple says. The two got engaged on Valentine's Day after a romantic dinner and drinks and decided to get married in a casual, intimate ceremony on the Delaware shore at Rehoboth Beach. Inspired by preppy and nautical styles, the Roberts asked the men in their wedding party to dress in separates and the women to wear bright spring colors. Robert Lane wore a dark blue suit and a blue tie, while Roberth Michael chose a light gray suit, a blue shirt and a red-plaid bow tie. After their beach ceremony, the newlyweds hosted a cocktail party at a private residence nearby and ended their night with dancing and cigars on the porch. "Our favorite part of the day was spending it with friends from all around the country and from different moments in our lives. People who had never met before connected, danced and drank together."
